Unique USB Host Controller Solution to add one or more USB ports
The USBHC869 USB Host Controller has been specially designed for embedded microprocessor and microcontroller systems. The device adds a USB port, with a low pin count parallel interface and a very small 4x4mm LGA36 footprint. The device also includes a USB host controller that allows Full Speed (12Mbits/sec) USB target devices to be bridged via the USBHC869 to the 16 bit parallel bus. To sustain high throuput rates, the USBHC869 offers separate 16KByte RX FIFOs. The source can be connected. A programmable Phase Locked Loop allows 'crystal free" operation if an external clock is available (of between 2MHz and 32MHz).
